My thoughts on 24 and its upcoming Episode 10

Speculations for the next upcoming episodes

1. Given the 1st gentlemen will survived the 5 hours surgery we will not be seeing him up to Episode 16
2. Dubako will be able to escape the country and he will bring Mirika with her. Mr. Burnett and his people can't kill Dubako at this stage for the reason they will be exposed. Given Jack and Renee captures Dubako he will be able to escape through Hillenger
3. Janis/Erica will be frame up by Hillenger about the warrant that is issued for Jack and Renee
4. If Dubako leaves U.S. soil, Jack and the FBI wouldn't have information on who the people are working with him in the government. However, Chloe will be able to trackdown that the mole was Hillenger
5. Olivia might get into trouble later if Mr. Burnett will use her as a leverage against the president

Favorite scene: Jack makes a point to Renee that they have one job is to get Dubako outside of that she shouldn't get involved.

Synopsis

Renee calls ambulance and tell the paramedics to keep the situation of quiet because its the first gentlemen. Jacks calls the president to update the status of the first gentlemen situation and Dubako's progress. Bill offers his service to accompany president Taylor in the hospital, but Ethan told Bill that he is already out of the service. Bill makes a point to the president that without Dubako she can't trust anyone and he brought up the conspiracy and he hopes he earned it. Bill requested to the president that his government clearance will be reinstated also with Chloe O Brian, Ethan continues to argue to Bill that Chloe clearance was also revoked when CTU was decommission. Bill explained that there is a mole in FBI and Larry Moss needs tactical support and Chloe is best fit for that job. Ethan argues to the president not to go to the hospital, but the president makes a point to Ethan that the priority is searching Dubako. Bill prepares to accompany the president to the hospital.

Dubako rush to Mirika and convinced her to go with him in his country. Dubako called Burnett his American allies for his passport to leave the country for the reason he doesn't have leverage anymore. Renee and Jack continues to find evidence in the shoot out to search for Dubako. Renee and Moss argued about the complained of Vossler's wife. Jack finds a bank account transactions were made in the PDA and told Renee to trace it through Larry Moss.

Morris send off Chloe to the FBI headquarters. Moss escorted Chloe to the conference room. Moss questions the relationship between Chloe and Bauer. Chloe make a point to Moss that Bauer is a good friend and the most trustworthy and honorable men that she knew and he should worry less about him and more on the mole in the Bureau that is working with Dubako. Dubako meets w/ Burnett to get the passport and flight details. Dubako make a point to Burnett if he is killed or assignation attempt, he will reveal the people involved and sent it to justice department.The bank account transactions from the PDA leads to Mirika Donoso the girlfriend of Ike Dubako. Jack and Renee went to Mirika apartment and starts to question Mirika, but she doesn't know who is Dubako. Jack questions Mirika and give Mirika and her a sister a brief profile on who Dubako is.

President arrives to the hospital and the doctor informs her that it needs 5 hours for the operation. President asked Bill to bring her daughter Olivia. Bill sends Aaron Pierce to get her daughter. Olivia doesn't want to go with Aaron without telling first what's going on. Aaron had no choice but to tell the truth about his father that was shot and its in critical condition. Jack asked favor to Mirika to pursue the plan to go with Dubako and they will follow them one mile by tracing the cellfone of Mirika.

Meanwhile, Janis got insecure cause her job might be replaced with Chloe. She borrowed Hillenger access key through the server room and check what Chloe was up to. Since there was another personnel went to the server room, Janis got rattled and removed directly the access key causing Chloe's monitor to shut-off a couple of seconds, which Chloe was able to noticed it and she was suspecting that someone was watching what she was doing. Moss told her if she can trace it back, Chloe runs diagnostics to get the source.

Janis went back and give back the access key to Hillenger and told him bout what she found that Chloe is supporting Walker and Renee in finding Dubako. A few minutes while Jack and Renee while following Erika's car, they got caught by DC metro local police for the reason FBI reported a warrant for them. Chloe double checks it and found out that the warrant was authentic and it came from FBI. Moss contacts DC metro to revoke the warrant, but due to procedures and protocols to be followed, jack and Renee where arrested.

Hillenger calls to Burnett and informed that he already pinned down jack and Renee. He explains that it took time to access the fone of Moss to trackdown its activities. He also told Burnett that Moss and Chloe are using Mirika cell fone to track her. He asked Burnett why Dubako wasn't killed yet, Burnett explained that Dubako will be exposing them as his leverage if there is an attempt of assignation. Burnett informed Dubako about Mirika was trackdown by the FBI through her cellfone.

Will the 1st gentlemen Henry Taylor survive the gunshot?

For me it wouldn't matter, but I guess he will die.

Will Dubako get caught?

If the next episode will be dragging about Dubako then he wouldn't get caught that easily. I guess Jack and his team will track down Dubako through Rosa or her girlfriend. We will be expecting new threats and reveling some of the government officials that are against the administration in the next episode. Hillenger continues to be one of the suspicious character, I think he is using Erica to get some details from the Homeland and feed it up to Dubako's people

Favorite line: When president ask Jack where his loyalty he simply answered "with all your respect madam president, ask around"

Interesting script: When Renee went to Vossler's wife and child, she said the following line: "shut up, do what I tell you and there is a chance that you will live through this". This was almost the same line when Jack told Renee before shooting her.

Dubako has the first gentlemen as leverage to stop the invasion of U.S. troop in sangala. Bill, Jack and Renee entered the white-house through underground entrance. Ethan told the president that he personally hand pick the agents that he trusted to accompany Bill and his team towards the white-house. President Taylor finally meet Prime Minister Ule Motubo, the president asked an explanation on whats going on to Bill and his team. Jack explained that the administration has been compromise that's why they need to work as an undercover. He also told the president that finding Dubako, will be the key to identify the names of the government officials working against the president. Bill also told the president he doesn't know whom who he can trust that's why he form a small group with Tony Almeida and then to Jack. The president find it hard to believed, but Renee Walker explained to the president that she is the witness on what Jack and Bill were telling is true.

President receives a call from Dubako having the 1st gentlemen as a leverage to his request to hold the U.S. troops in sangala. Ethan confirms that the accusations of Jack and Bill were true that the administration has been compromise through Samantha's Roth and Agent Gedge death. Ethan explains that Agent Gedge is believe to be an accomplish in kidnapping of the first gentlemen through the paralytic drug that he had. The president still didn't give in the demands of Dubako, Jack offer to help retrieved the first gentlemen.

The president gives Jack and his team a go signal. Jack asked Ethan for the profile of Agent Gedge, Renee told Jack that the only person she can trust was Larry Moss. Larry was shocked when Walker called, he told Renee she's willing to help but they should meet personally first. Jack and Renee meet up with Moss, Moss and Renee talk each other, Jack asked for the details of Agent Vossler. Moss gives to Renee and she scans it. Moss give a short details to Jack that before Vossler was a secret agent he works in special forces and served in Sangala for 2 years. Jack asked Renee if Vossler has a family, Moss and Renee had an idea already where is Jack going. Both Renee and Moss, argued with Jack not to use Vossler family as a leverage for the reason it is innocent. After Jack made his point, Renee follows Jack order. Agent Moss told Jack, that he won't allow Renee to be like him. Jack asked the car keys of Agent Moss and has no choice but to give it to Jack.

Hillenger seems to be suspecting that the FBI is out of loop. Janis noticed that there is something going on between Erica and Hillenger. Janis called up Hillenger about that matter not to make it obvious. Dubako girlfriend called to confirmed about their dinner. Samuel is the alias of Dubako that he uses for her girlfriend. Moss helps Jack track Vossler vehicle and Renee goes to Vossler family. Renee enters the house of Vossler and scare Vossler family while waiting Jack's call. Jack caught Vossler in a nick of time and interrogate Vossler to tell where he delivered the 1st gentlemen. Vossler didn't give in at 1st but when he heard her wife was crying and was scared he gave the location to Jack. However, Vossler manage to kick the gun of Jack and managed to fight him which results to his death.

Renee waits for Jack, Jack called about the whereabouts of Henry Taylor and told her to wait for him. He also told Renee that Vossler was dead through self-defense. Meanwhile in the whitehouse, they managed to send a double for Prime Minister Ule to Dubako's people. Rosa sister of Dubako's girlfriend called up Dubako to let him know that she knows that he is not Samuel and there is no record in the immigration about the said name. Rosa told Dubako to breakup with her sister. Dubako's people called Dubako that Motubo was not hand-in when they asked to bring it out to the vehicle, Dubako ordered to destroy the vehicle letting to agents killed. Jack and Renee arrives to the placed where Vossler gives to save 1st gentlemen. Renee was caught going down to the stairs where they held Henry Taylor and the exchange of gunshots begins. Dubako called his people to kill the 1st gentlemen. Unfortunately, Henry got shot by one of the people of Dubako, when Jack was shooting it. Jack shouts to Renee to get an ambulance, clocks tick down to 15:59:59.

My thoughts on 24 and its upcoming Episode 08

My thoughts on 24 and its upcoming Episode 8 Jack was asking Renee's help to team up in an attempt to get the CIP device and also to rescue the prime minister. They use Renee to get in the building while Jack, Tony and Bill was waiting in the roof top to open the door for them. Renee opens the door, Jack and Renee team up and go to the ventilation system, while Bill and Tony are in position for backup. Chloe sends information to them for the floor plan and where about's of the prime minister.

As they are all set, Nichols found out one of the security camera captures Jack, Tony and Renee going inside the building. Dubako and his people were rattled and he forces to grab the CIP device, Jack and his team assault the control room where Dubako is. While Renee, rescues the prime minister. During the exchange of gunshots, the CIP slip over and was damaged. Dubako was able to escape by setting off a bomb on one of the building staff.

Meanwhile, the white-house was wondering why the threat on ohio was gone. They were wondering why it was stop and the president couldn't believe that Dubako stopped it. In the case of first gentlemen Taylor, yes he did recover in the fall and its temporary paralysis. The agent outside waiting rush over the to Samantha's apartment to finish off the first gentleman, but Taylor made a sense that by killing him it would later be trace. Dubako called the agent and ask him about the first gentlemen, he ordered the agent to bring the first gentlemen to him alive.

We can see after the major threat of the CIP device it wasn't that clear what would be the next threat. Clearly Dubako wanted the first gentlemen alive, he will use it as a leverage to the president against the troops in sangala.

Since the CIP device was no longer a threat, with the prime minister is in good hands. Jack suggested to Bill that its time to contact external agencies to help them, but Bill insisted that the government has dirty agents which they don't know who is working with Dubako and it may blew up their cover. Chloe agrees with Jack because she can't handle it alone and additional resources. Prime Minister Olai, suggested to let the president know because he trusted her. Bill and Tony where quite hesitant at first but they've gave in the idea. Jack told Prime Minister Olai, to tell the president to keep the information in close circle for the reason they don't know who's dirty in the government.

We see here Tony seems not to be totally sold out but lead to no choice. This is for the reason that he is aware if he shows up with the authority he will be convicted on what he did on the past 3 years with Emerson.

President and Prime Minister Olai agreed each other to talk in a secure place on the details of the threats and how he was rescued. President Taylor informs Ethan about it. But before that Ethan was about to inform the president that he can't reach the first gentlemen, the NSA adviser informed Ethan not to tell the adviser for such reason there was no longer a threat. They were supposed to convince the first gentlemen to tell the president to let their troops back-off while the CIP device was on Dubako hands.

In this scene, it seems that the NSA adviser is one of the dirty agents. Not enough proof though, but he needs also to be watch out on the next upcoming episodes.

While Jack and Bill were preparing for the meeting place of the president together with the Prime Minister Olai. Tony told Jack that he can't come for such reason he will be arrested. Jack told Tony that after this crisis he should turn over to the authority and assured that he will support and help him together with Bill. Tony initiate the hand shake and told Jack he has his words.

Tony looks very suspicious, right now we don't know what's in his head? Is he really good / bad? Here are my speculation Tony's suspicious look:

1. He doesn't want to be arrested simple as that 
2. If we based it on the season 7th thriller, they said to the viewers they are going to the personal level. So its a big possibility well turned out bad or whoever that is connected to Jack in the previous seasons

Granting Ethan is one of the mole, for sure there will be problems during the meet up of Prime Minister Olai on or after. It seems Dubako isn't the main antagonist, the others hasn't come out yet.

My Thoughts on 24 and its upcoming Episode 07

My speculations on my last entry on how agent Walker survived seems to be correct. Bill and Chloe saves agent Walker and Bill explained everything about Jack and Tony's cover and was told not to contact to the FBI for the reason it has a mole in the department. Meanwhile, Emerson noticed that there is something bothering Jack and he asked about it. Jack asked Emerson on how they recruited Tony. It was explained by Emerson but however he sense that there is something wrong with Jack and Tony. Upon preparing the prime minister and his wife to be exchange with diamonds to Dubaku, Emerson forces Tony to tell on what is going on having Jack as a hostage, which Tony was forced to shoot Emerson. Jack called Bill, to meet up in the exchange area. When Bill arrived, Jack checkouts agent Walker while Tony is with Emerson who is dying. Agent Walker still can't believed that she's been working so many years in the FBI and knows she knows that it is possible that it can be compromised.

Dubaku ordered Nichols to kill Emerson and his crew including Tony during the exchange. Jack explained to the Prime Minister and its wife about the planned and their cover. While Tony was attending the wounded Emerson he asked forgiveness and explained it was not all about the diamonds its about he's not willing to cross the borderline to kill innocent Americans with the CIP device. Dubako uses the CIP device to make the 2 planes collide ask a price to let the US president shows that he's for real and willing to kill innocent American lives if the president wouldn't withdraw their forces in Sangala.

Back to the exchange area, Chloe prepares to put a transmitter to the Prime Minister, Tony clearing out the bodies while Jack and Bill is preparing a plan for the exchange. As for the storyline of the 1st gentlemen that is temporarily paralyze, his most trusted secret agent kill Samantha Roth and prepares to hang him to looks like a suicide. However, the 1st gentlemen was able to move his risk and fingers but in some parts of his body is still in paralysis. He managed to choke his trusted secret agent, as the secret agent tries to fight back they fell unto the ground. It is clear that 1st gentlemen survived that fall.

As for the exchange of the prime minister to Dubaku, it was awesome played by the characters. During the double cross moment, Jack managed to shoot one of Nichols bodyguard with his sniper rifle and Tony managed to shoot 2 bodyguards, but leaving one alive. Jack shoots a warning shot to Nichols and Tony gets the gun of Nichols and tell him to put things behind and get what they want. With Nichols transporting the prime minister to Dubaku, chloe monitors their movement.

My expectation and speculation for the next episode:

1. It is clear that the 1st gentlemen will be able to recover its temporary paralysis. As soon as he walks out, the other agent sees him and it starts tailing him or even kill him to finish off the job 
2. Dubaku setting the next attack on Ohio, I guess this will not push through cause the president finally gives in to withdraw the forces. It is also possible when Nichols finally arrived in their hideout while Jack and Tony are following, they will managed to get the CIP device. The other possibility is Chloe hacks in and change the flight plans 
3. I think agent Walker will be stubborn and will find a way to contact to the FBI, if this happens it adds more thrill cause Nichols will be informed that Jack and Tony are on a cover

Favorite line: When agent walker told Jack "The 4 of you do you think you can stop it?" Jack simple replied "we have to as simple as that".

Tony said to Nichols that Emerson is dead, but there was no clear proof that he was dead. For sure, they could easily bring back Emerson character later or next season if they want too. But for now, we think his dead. Episode 6 is great, it leaves many variables in the end compared to last episode that's quite predictable. At this stage we still don't have clear ideas on the moles in the FBI and white-house. For me, my speculation in my last entry is still the same.

My Thoughts on 24 and its upcoming Episode 06

After faking the shot of agent Walker and was buried with sand, there are no clear clues given in the show on how she will survived. These are my thoughts on how she will get through:

1. Agent walker will just get up by her own - I think its impossible unless she also fakes that she can't moved 
2. Jack put a tracking device on her during she was checking agent walker if she was clean before she was put in the cage and the FBI agents will come to the rescue 
3. FBI agents were able to find the location of agent walker basing on the intercepted call that was found by the NSA 
4. Jack / Tony will call later to Bill/FBI directly to informed the whereabouts of Agent walker

It remains a mystery to agent Walker for sure why Jack wants her to survived. I guess David Emerson still doubts Jack that's why he authorized to execute agent Walker. By the looks of it, Emerson at this stage is being careful with Jack and Tony was right not to underestimate him.

As for First Gentlemen Henry Taylor, we don't have idea if he will survived or not neither with Samantha Roth. We see on the previous season on 24 how the characters get killed quickly. My guess that either one will survived, if they are both dead then the president will never know that his son was murdered not suicide. At this stage, I think one will survived to keep the thrill on telling the president the truth about his son's death.

For awhile we know that there is something between Agent Moss and Walker. All we know from Agent Janis point of view that Agent Moss has feelings for Walker.

So who's the mole in FBI? My speculation are the following:

1. Agent Moss - Cause his the director in-charge and the terrorists are well-informed on the operations in FBI, that's one reason why Alan Tanner escape in the building 
2. Agent Hillinger - He have some weird behavior on Episode 3/4, but we found out later that he was helping her wife to give a priority landing on the plane. But this could this just be a deception to Agent Janis. When her wife called up to meet up, he says she was busy with work and we later found out she was flirting with the blond chick (Agent Erica). Also he was talking with Janis with regards to the illegal torturing/interrogation conducted by Agent Walker to Tanner, this means it gives him an idea what agent Walker knows about the terrorist operation 
3. For now these two characters are the mole in the FBI that I can think of as of now. Is it impossible that is Agent Moss but I think she doesn't want Agent Walker to get involved but he's feeding the information to the terrorist

So who's the mole in the Whitehouse? I think that is the president's adviser. Although its not clear now, but as what Bill says in Episode 3, the government is corrupt that's why they are working outside the government.

In Episode 3, David Emerson gives the gun to Tony to kill Jack. When I was watching, I thought Tony will shoot Jack with empty bullets that was placed by Emerson. This was a pattern on the previous seasons specifically Jack was ordered to shoot Chase. But in the current season, we see Jack manages to save himself for the cover.

It seems Agent Walker learns from Jack on how to illegally interrogate Tanner. I think she ran out of options and want to catch Tony and Jack, that is why she was forced to used illegal interrogation tactics. Or she is really capable of doing it but can't do it before because she is FBI and needs to follow the federal law.

With the disbanded CTU, we can see that the whitehouse is dependent with the FBI. As of now, it seems the president doesn't know the profiles of Jack Bauer and Tony Almeida or shall we say she didn't ask more details on the terrorists involved, unlike in the previous season a detailed dialogues were made about the profile on the terrorists.

Coolest things that I'd like in first five episodes are:

1. Jack interrogating Tony - Tony getting out the borderline and start to talk about her wife Teri that make Jack piss off 
2. Escape in the parking lot of Jack and Tony 
3. Jack intellectual capability and experienced when identifying Tanner was not one of the FBI 
4. Chloe vs Janis Gold - when Janis is blocking Chloe in the system and Janis admitted that the hacker is really good 
5. Jack fake shot to Agent Walker

In my conclusion, so far 24 season 7 is looking good and exciting. Till then...

On the 24th

After 3 months of working out, I managed to win the bet with my buddy on who among us looses more weight. Again, the bet is on once again and we will be seeing each other on the 24th of this month to check out things on who progresses more.

For this year, I planned to continue my psychical activities in preparation for summer. The 3rd month (which was December) was the most difficult to control due to many dinner parties and drinking session. At least holiday seasons are over and no more food temptation.

A Love Thought

Encountering something unsuspected can be a wonderful thing, like trying on the shirt you didn't like but it turns out to look super good on you. Or going to see the horror movie you thought you would be scared of but it turned out to be fun.

People understand things better after they are exposed to it. Then there's that someone you thought you didn't love originally, but suddenly you will realize you actually do.
