BaiLi

BaiLi (aka diskoral) - I defined it as a street party with loud speakers playing mainstream and over played music. Late afternoon our neighbors asked permission to my mom that they will be setting up BaiLi to celebrate their annual get together for their organization "feather's club". It's quite annoying but couldn't say no because they were begging that it would happen ones a year. Sigh...

Well they played some Hale songs, theme song of Panday, Bisaya remixes of foreign mainstream Hip-Hop songs, OPM remixes, some cheap techno beats and out of nowhere I was amazed the DJ played Ever After. LOL... Layshoo ang DJ. I guess the DJ was from Hot FM.

Time now is around 4:42am in the morning the volume starts to slows down, when I peep in the window they were starting to clean up things. LOL... I guess they were tired dancing and jumping. I guess I have to park my fingers also and hug my pillow tight. ;-)

Farewell Party

Early Morning
Friday December 23, 2005 it was a cold morning and the weather is gloomy and raining. When I was riding a cab to office, I suddenly realized that it was my last day of work. Seeing those people you've work and bond for 2 years makes me feel sad and having the second thought if I was doing the right decisions.

As the time runs, I was cleaning up and transferring personal files. Slowly and slowly I felt that I am fading away and things becomes blurry in my eye sight. LOL... In the end of the working hour, Mike Tyler, president of iComm International gathered us around in my workplace and acknowledges the things I've contributed to the company. Honestly, I wasn't expecting him to do that, somehow it was a great feeling that for the first time in my 2 years stay my works were being acknowledged. =)

Bonding
Around 3:00pm, the VB developers rush out to cencia's to play billiards and start the drinking sessions. Eulogio, Felipe, Juvill and Mitchum starts playing nine balls at first then shift to eight balls. In the other table, Leobelle, Karl, Joeffrey and I were also playing a billiard game which I forget the name of the game. I left cencia's and go to waterfront to bomb LOL... When I got backed, Bench and Julie joined us. We were drinking red horse except for Karl he was going SMB Light.

Dinner
We went to Neo2x grill for dinner and I also invited the party animals Jordan, Mark, Arman, Jerus and Bontic, Liza, and Conrad. We ate calamares, pochero, pork belly, pork bbq, pancit guisado and boneless bangus. Its so yummy.. And hope they were all fully loaded. LOL.. Arlene and Conrad were late on the schedule but glad they were able to catch up.

Chillout Session
We went to wineshop to have a couple drinks and chillout a little. Again my mixed emotions attacked me, seeing them laughing and talking made me think that this would be the last time I could see them all in one gathering. I know I would still meet some of them but not all of them at one time and one place. Around 10 plus, Lakam friend of Arman joined us and they were chatting with Karl, Bench, Julie and Bontic. The iComm Cinderella girls with their prince leobelle went home first and we finished off I think at pass 12:00. LOL...

In the End
I really hope that I could still bond with these earthlings I mentioned above. I am truly grateful that I've known them. Thank you very much and Godspeed.

Book

It all started with the idea that me and my friend will be exchanging gift during Christmas season. Since we newly knew each other then it would be both hard for us to decided hat gift we will be giving.

We've agreed to exchange wish lists on what we want as for the exchanging gift. Sad for me she's fond on reading books. Ever since I don't really read book. I tried reading during my high school and college days but I wasn't able to finished it. I guess I'm not into and I'm not good in imagining things.

I thought that buying and searching a book for a Christmas present wouldn't be hard. I didn't think that she might read and the book that I'll be giving to her or worse she already have it.

To avoid having the fear that she might have the book or she wouldn't like it, I asked her to give me the exact title and author of the possible books that she doesn't have and she likes. Although it wouldn't be thrill anymore on her part because she already knew what I'll be giving, but I have a plan to make it surprising.

I went to a bookstore during the weekend to search for the book she wished to have it, but sad to say there was no book #1 in the Series of Unfortunate Events. Good I was able to think fast and go to the customer service section and ask if there are still available stock left on other branches here in cebu. Thank God, there was one left in mango avenue branch then I quickly told the customer service personnel to reserved it for me and my best friend offered that he will be the one to get the book.

I was very thankful to him because he was always been supportive to me. Also I was thankful for the customer service personnel for the effort she spent. What can I say? She's doing her job well, I hope she'll get a raise/bonus this month. LOL...

It was a nice experienced thinking, researching and consulting several friends where for find and what type of book to give to her. I'm glad I've accomplished it and my next task is to go delivery services maybe JRS/LBC to send my Christmas present to her hometown.

Farewell to Colleagues

Good day !!!

As of December 6, 2005, I officially tender my resignation to the current employer that I'm currently connected. While writing my resignation letter, I began to cherished those moments I have with my colleagues. Our department was composed of young, talented, skillful individuals, open minded, cool and very professional. The working environment was close to perfect. There were no competitions and everybody is helping each other. But the most coolest is our boss. He was the best in both technical and managerial aspect.

My two years stay here was a fruitful one in many aspect. I enjoyed the people I meet in the office and work together. It's difficult to weight things when you planned to move on. I feel that I am attached with my working environment. I do regret leaving my colleagues that becomes my close friends. Sad to say my goals and objectives doesn't march the same tune with the company.

There are many reasons why I have to leave. I do have my frustrations, broken promises, policies that I don't like against my employer. But then I realized that it would be a waste of time mentioning it all in details. Also as an employee we can't do anything in the end if its the employer THING.

Change is very difficult thing to do in the employer if they would cater all the needs of their people. I've realized that instead of complaining to the employer why not look for another opportunity which can cater your needs and that is inline with your goals.
